This instrument is designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the national standard GB/T 261-2008 "Determination of Flash Point by Pensky-Marten Closed Cup Method" and ASTM D93 standard. It is suitable for measuring the flash point of flammable liquids, liquids that tend to film on the surface under test conditions, and other liquids according to the methods specified in GB/T 261 standard. This instrument is used to determine the flash point of petroleum products using the closed cup method. When petroleum products are heated in a sealed oil cup under the conditions specified in the GB/T261 standard, the minimum temperature of the petroleum product, which is the flash point of the closed cup method, when the mixture of petroleum product vapor and surrounding air comes into contact with the flame and causes a flash fire.
